Follow Up After an ID Camp
You went to the ID camp. You played well. The coaches saw you. Now what? Most players do nothing. They wait for an email that never comes and assume they did not make the cut. That is a mistake.
Within 48 hours of the camp, send a follow-up email to the coach who ran your session. Thank them for the opportunity. Mention one specific thing you worked on during the session. Attach your highlight reel if they asked for one. Keep it short. Three sentences max. Coaches are busy and they will appreciate that you respected their time.
Here is the part most people miss. Include a calendar link or offer to send your game schedule for the fall. That gives the coach a reason to keep the conversation going. Even if they are not ready to offer you anything, they now know you are serious. And that puts you ahead of the 80 percent of players who never follow up at all.
