Small Habits That Build Big Results
Most players want the big workout. The two-hour session, the sprint ladder, the full field scrimmage. But the players who actually improve are the ones who do the small things every day. Ten minutes of ball work in the backyard. Five minutes of stretching before bed. A quick film session of a pro who plays your position.
I learned this the hard way. In college I spent summers doing massive training sessions until I was exhausted. And I did get fitter. But my touch did not improve. My decision making did not get sharper. Those things came from daily reps with the ball, not weekly blowout sessions.
Here is the challenge. Pick one small thing you can do every day for the next two weeks. Fifteen juggles. One wall passing drill. A three-minute cooldown stretch. Do it every single day. No days off. By week two you will feel the difference. That is how real improvement works. Not in bursts. In the margins.
